Mind Pollution and Fear Porn

Marketers love the new and improved formula for pitching products.  Make a few product changes, repackage the outside, slap new and improved on the package, and consumers will buy it at a higher price thinking it is a better product.  Likewise, the propaganda machines use these and other psychological techniques to market the latest threat to humanity as information you need for your personal survival on this Planet Earth.  Of course, it is filled with the worst, of the worst-case scenarios and the possible outcomes always circle around death.  We quiver with the word.  Just as information can be used for good; it can also be used for dubious means such as shifting the world’s thinking down a dangerous road.

The bombardment of this information on the human psyche becomes the biggest threat to us.  This mind pollution permeates every moment of our existence and it is fueled by fear through its distortions of the truth.  It is mind pollution seeded by the fear virus.  Everything is meticulously scripted and all the actors show up to play their parts.  Celebrities, journalists, politicians, the common person and the exhaustive list of experts play across the screens of our mind and dump insidious subplots into our lives.

Where is Love?

I, like most humans on this Planet Earth are told that we are under lockdown, house arrest for our protection.  It is being done to protect us from the deadly virus.  I have to admit, in some ways staying home is pretty easy for me.  I have lived alone for 35 years and for most of those years, I have worked alone out of my home.  Being alone is easy for me.  I like my own company and being alone I have been granted the opportunity to study a variety of subjects.  I do periodically however love being around people.  I love giving and receiving love.  I love hugs.  I love the human touch.  I love conversations over food.  Now with this current pandemic, and rules of social distancing I am forced to change my ways.

Let me back up a bit.  Years ago, I realized that if I did not make time to go out for a walk in the afternoon, I would miss out on people.  So, living in downtown Ottawa, Canada, I decided that every day at a particular hour I would go for a walk to the river.   The walk would bring me through the city centre and down along the river below Canada’s Parliament buildings.  I realized a long time ago a smile always opened doors to conversations.  Since, I have a happy disposition and I talk to everyone, I have met a lot of people.   They are my community.

Time for poetry...The Root of All Evil

The Root of All Evil

The root of all evil is not money.
It is not anger.
Nor is it greed.
The root of all evil has a far greater seed.
It is the manufactured fear which has led us to believe,
safety and security have now taken leave.
Living in fear is how life must be.

Magnified, manipulated, and used to control
by forces who aren’t working for the good of the whole.
Insidious creatures that lurk through the night,
greatly afraid of the loving light,
as it will melt the illusion that might is right.

They rule by fear,
with elaborate smoke and mirrors,
and take great cheer
in saying, ‘Love isn’t here.
Here, there is just fear!’

Oh, the unaware they do think it’s so,
and do fall prey to more government controls.
For the creatures that rule the night,
enjoy making fear their only plight.
For within the darkness fear can grab hold,
and play with the minds of men we’ve been told.

A tangled web of deceit,
synthetic lies which are really cheap,
done in an attempt to hide the truth really deep.
But no matter what they do.
The truth will always ring true.
For the root of all this evil is absolutely clear.
It is built upon the fallacy,
that on Mother Earth we must live in fear.

True Fear or Manufactured in your Mind?

In order to understand fear, you must first understand the difference between true fear and manufactured fear.  Let me give you a personal example.  I experienced true fear last year.  It hit out of the blue.  I had just come from an event at the local Indigenous Friendship Centre and it was a cool spring day.  I had my route home laid out in my head.  Stop at the art store in the mall, catch the bus to the University, walk to the grocery store and head home.  Then it hit.  Bam! The realization that I was being run over by a car that was backing up from a stop sign in a mall parking lot.

Hit from behind, I went down to the ground and ended up underneath the car.  Everything seems to move really slow when the adrenalin rushes through your body.  It’s like your mind starts recording in clips.  I remember seeing the muffler and the undercarriage of the car and thinking ‘this isn’t right’.  Then there was the realization that there were wheels coming toward my head.  In the next instance the car stopped, went forward and once I saw the sky I bolted straight up.
It must have looked like I had risen from the dead as witnesses told me later that I was extremely lucky I wasn’t hurt.  I was extremely lucky because it was these people that came to my aid otherwise, I would have been a speed-bump in thing called life.

The adrenalin doesn’t stop rushing through your body when the event ends.  You are basically in shock and your body/mind/emotions goes into process mode.  Even though someone offered me a ride, I was determined to continue my path home.   I needed to process what had happened.  While under that car I was consumed with the fear of my survival.  The whole experience may have been a minute but it felt like an eternity.  Dying and dying like this was not part of my story.  I had a mission to fulfill and I wasn’t finished fulfilling it.  But, this experience did enter my reality and it taught me something.  In one moment, I am fighting for my life and the next moment, I am realizing I am safe.  I am in one piece and I am alive.

Truth Trauma

It is no measure of health to be adjusted to an extremely sick society. - Krishnamurti

For those new to this truth journey or who are suddenly awakened to just how upside down our world is; the truth can traumatize you.   Actually, to be honest, it can also traumatize if you have been on this journey for a long time.  Awakening is not a destination, it is a process and when you dive down the rabbit hole, it can leave you feeling demoralized, depressed, despondent or downright angry.  It is a big letdown when you discover that all you were led to believe was based on a lie that was propagated down through the ages as the truth.  Even worse, it is not just one lie.  No, it is a spiderweb of lies that are intrinsically woven together.

History was written by the winners and was never based on truth.  It was based on a story that would keep the populations of Planet Earth in a deep, deep sleep.  Until a few sparks went off and some people started uncovering the truth.   The truth that there are beings in this world who control everything and have orchestrated the devastations and divisions on this Planet Earth.  It is the game of chaos and it has been operating for a long time with the sole intent to grab your mind and control it.

The Law of Unconditional Love

It's a waste of energy to be angry with a man who behaves badly, just as it is to be angry with a car that won't go. – Bertrand Russell

Unfortunately in our world, the word love has gone astray from its original meaning.  Instead it is a word that now comes with strings, bondage and dependency.  A word that is cloaked with clever phrases that are only masks for our own fear, doubt and hate.   I will love you if… if you loved me you would…I love my…I just love ice cream.  Through our society’s programming and conditioning we are lead to believe that love is associated with inanimate objects and nothing to do with action.  We are taught the opposite of love is hate.  Through political correctness we are guided to think that in order to demonstrate love, we must all agree and have the same opinion.   Unfortunately by following this prescribed path, we miss the mark and we get trapped in the world of duality.

Love is not the opposite of hate.  Love has no opposite.  It has no conditions.  It is not part of the duality.  Pure love just is.  This law teaches us to recognize that ours and everyone else’s essence is basically good or of the love vibration however buried within the person that may be.  Now I know that sometimes it is extremely difficult to see someone’s inner light when it is the size of a pea and their behaviors reflects that of pure evil.  What is essential to understand is that the behavior is almost always a façade for the person’s lack of self esteem or fear-based thinking.  Many are shunted in their emotional and mental growth and are locked into behaviors that based on fear, doubt and hate.

THE SASSAGIS (A parable-Where evil, mean people come from)

Author’s Note:  This was written in 2003 and published in my book, Into the Waves-Poems and Other Writings by Petrabooks www.petrabooks.ca .  Considering what is happening in the world perhaps it is carries a message for those awakening.  The word Sassagis is Ojibway and means evil mean ones.  Enjoy!

Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, things were much different on Mother Earth than they are today.  Back then, there were no planes, trains or cars.  There were no factories or stores.  No electricity buzzing through wires.  No computers or video games.  No pizza delivery.  No ATM bank machines.  No one had to carry money or credit cards.  There were no banks.  There was only a community of spirits who saw no diversity and who understood the ancient laws of the Universe.  During those days, Mother Earth was filled with tranquility.  There was never any fighting and there were no bullies.  All the inhabitants of Mother Earth saw each other as a spark of the Great Spirit in physical form; and it was in their best interests to get along with each other.

Since the spirits of yesteryear understood the ancient laws, they knew the importance of using their emotions as a personal guidance system.  If something didn’t feel right or good, they knew they were not aligned with the Great Spirit’s energy.  If something felt good they were aligned with the Great Spirit’s energy.  There was connection.  Since everyone lived by the same law, life on Mother Earth was spent enjoying existence.  Everyone looked for the best in everything and that which they focused upon came to them.  Of course this was a long, long time ago.

They say that back then, Mother Earth was really stunning.  She had the most lush, green forests which housed the unicorns, elves, fairies, pixies, wolves, birds and other spirits.  The air was always clear.  The sweet smell of flowers filled the air, and sometimes the wonderful fragrance cast an unending spell of happiness on everyone on the land.  Everyone played and worked together in complete joy and everywhere you looked, everyone was smiling because the more you smiled, the happier you became.

Not only was the land filled with an abundance of happiness.  Long ago, there flowed a great network of crystal clear streams, rivers and lakes across the body of Mother Earth.  These waters bustled with life, and flowed into oceans filled with mermaids, seahorses and dolphins who would always make their way to the shore to play with their friends who lived on the land amongst the tree spirits.

During that time Mother Earth was considered the most beautiful planet in the whole of the universe.  She radiated so much loving light that many space travelers used her light to navigate the galaxies.  It had also been said, that the reason she had so much beauty was in the legend about her creation.  Many of the old Elders had said the Great Spirit had created Mother Earth as a gift for the Mother of all Creation.  For the Great Spirit knew, without the Mother of all Creation he could never have created the universe.  So in a gesture of thanks, he filled the planet Earth with all that was beautiful, and created a place where only love was to abide and bloom.  Grandfather Sun’s light provided warmth and protection for all of Mother Earth’s children, and at night Grandma Moon would guide her oceans, and the Star People would shine their loving energy upon her to ensure the spirits inhabiting Mother Earth would always live in harmony.  It was really a paradise back then.  So after he created Earth, the Great Spirit gifted it to the Mother of Creation.  Of course the Mother of Creation was overcome with emotion and she cried happy tears.  He then dedicated Earth to the Mother of Creation by calling it Mother Earth.

Life on Mother Earth from that point onwards was about having fun.  For all Mother Earth’s children, everyday seemed like a vacation.  That is not to say they did not work.  They had a lot of things to attend to, however because they were passionate about what they contributed, they never considered it work.  They considered it to be just like playing.  Wake-up, pursue your passions and do what needs to be done.  Everyone had a role.  There were no worries or fears.  No one worried about not being liked.  Everyone considered everyone else as being incomparably unique.  For on Mother Earth everyone knew they looked different but it did not matter.  No one cared.  For each of them knew, they were all family.  Everyone knew they were a spark of the Great Spirit, and everything they needed would always be provided for them.  Provided of course, if what they wanted harmed no one or thing.  All they had to do was ask and trust that sometimes what they wanted would come through pathways they had not considered.  They also knew that they could not force the manifestation of their desires.  For under the Law of Allowing they understood that when they focused too hard on what they wanted they pushed it away.  So sometimes it was best to ask and then detach from their request.

Well as you can see, in those days, life on Mother Earth was quite first-class.  Happiness filled the air.  Everyone was accepted as they were which meant that there was never any fighting on Mother Earth.  In fact, the word fighting did not even exist.  If there ever was a problem, and they always looked at problems as challenges, the solution was always for the good of the whole.  Love had the final say.  They would actually ask, ‘What would love do?’ In asking this one question, they always discovered the answer.

It came to pass that things changed with the arrival of the evil ones, known in Ojibway as the Sassagis, to Mother Earth.  With the Sassagis love would not be considered.  The Sassagis were known throughout the Universe as the evil mean-ones, and the night they arrived, well let us just say, Mother Earth lost a lot of her light.  Things would never be the same.  The old ancient laws got forgotten.  The Spirits of Mother Earth forgot who they were and started believing the propaganda and stories of the Sassagis.
It all started one fateful night long ago.  You see the Sassagis lived out on the outskirts of the Universe and had been put there because they were a part of the Great Spirit that he had not been too thrilled about.  He actually created their own planet, and because of their propensity to unscrupulous living they had caused much damage to their own planet.  Anyway the Sassagis had heard about Mother Earth and being the greedy spirits that they were, made their way to reap some of the benefits of the most beautiful planet in the universe.  So on that fateful night a long, long time ago, the Sassagis landed on Mother Earth.  It had been a long and difficult journey for the Sassagis, but they were a very determined bunch, and somehow, no one will ever understand how, they arrived on Mother Earth.

Since they had been traveling a long, long time, and had stopped in at a few other planets on their way, they had gotten in the custom of arriving in the darkness of the night.  They certainly caused a great uproar on Mother Earth with their night time arrival.  The people on Mother Earth had never felt anything like it.  It was worse than an earthquake.  The clamor of the Sassagis’ club-like feet pounding on Mother Earth shook the ones who lived on land from their beds, and it rippled out to the oceans creating a tsunami that whipped the mermaids, seahorses and dolphins out of their beds.  It was the first time the people on Mother Earth had ever felt fear, and it would not be the last.

Now, let me tell you a little bit about the Sassagis.  They were ghastly looking ogres with personalities that matched their looks.  They had two stubby horns that stuck out of their heads, and a black eye sat in the middle of their forehead.  It would eerily roam from side to side.  Their noses were smudged into their faces, and they had a permanent snarl painted across their lips.  Even if they tried they would never be able to smile.  Their bodies were covered with long strands of dirty, black hair, and little bugs shaped like dollar signs flittered about them.  They were not very graceful.  You certainly would not see them in dance class.  Their monstrous hairy club feet lumbered out in front of them as they marched along snorting and spitting green pools of slime.  It was said, ‘Where the Sassagis goes, nothing grows’.  It was true.  Many of the planets they visited on their journey to Mother Earth had suffered irreparable damage, and now all that was beautiful on Mother Earth was threatened.  Where the Sassagis went everything was flattened and trampled, and sealed with green slime which hardened and blackened with time.

Who Is Using Your Imagination?

“Fools exploit the world; the wise transfigure it.” – Neville Goddard

We all do it.  Every day we rent or lease out our imagination for free.  We unconsciously allow not only the media, but our friends, acquaintances and colleagues to influence our state of being.  We have become absentee mind-lords, unaware that the thoughts that are occupying our minds are creating our reality.
It happens all the time.  We awaken in the morning feeling pretty good and then it starts.  We remember yesterday’s argument, and instantly we rent out our mind to those individuals we are in conflict with.  We surf the internet and allow the media’s portrayal of the world to direct our inner and outer conversations.  We listen to the so called experts and repeat their economic, political, health and world viewpoints never quite understanding that they are leasing our imaginations and using us as pawns to ensure the validation of their theories.

Guilt-The Manmade Emotion

Today's post is from my unpublished manuscript entitled, "Is this Happiness?" I decided that perhaps the dialogue between Alexis and her spirit guide could best describe how guilt keeps us small.

Bald Eagle
Charcoal Sketch by Beverly Blanchard

Bald Eagle was punctual as usual.  At exactly seven o’clock, he materialized in the living room startling Alexis who had somehow expected him to use the door.  Bald Eagle laughed as he materialized, “I figured I do not have to bother using the door any more.  We Spirits really prefer to just appear.  Walking through doors gets the neighbors talking.  So, how was your day?”

“Interesting.  Had breakfast with my friend Robert, and we had a conversation which left me wondering whether I have been practicing love or guilt?  You see, Robert met this woman who said that if you think you are surrendering to love, you are actually surrendering to guilt because love needs no surrender.  Well, if that is the case, then most of what I thought was love, has actually been love laced with guilt.”  She held a serious look of disbelief on her face.

“Ahhh, so, I see you have discovered your second worst antagonist, the contrast of guilt.  Guilt will make you feel lousy; every single time you allow it to visit.  It pushes in on you, and the more you back up, the more it keeps pushing in on you.  When it finally has you cornered, and you are fighting for your life, guilt empowered by the fight turns to fear.  Wherever there is guilt, fear is not too far behind.  Oh and, guilt is an insidious creature that destroys love, and creates suffering.  You cannot have love, if you have guilt.  They cannot exist in the same place, their energies are not compatible and they defy the Universal Laws.  It is a state of mind, and in your world it has been long thought to be loving intent.  Loving intent it is not.  It is the gap in the universe that seeks to deny your true response to a situation.  Guilt is not caused by what happened, but how you relate to what happened.  It reinforces the feelings of not being okay if you allow your true vibration, your true alignment with Source Energy to shine forth.  Guilt is one of your society’s greatest control mechanisms and it is used to widen the gap between Source Energy and yourself.  As with fear, there are really two types of guilt.”

“So, there are two?”  She had never thought about the different aspects of guilt. Was there actually a good side to guilt?

“Almost always are two types in everything.  Helps to keep you confused.” he grinned.  “One type is thought of as real guilt, but, in actuality it is better to call it regret.  It is when you hurt someone or the possessions of someone and you truly feel sorry for your indiscretion.  The dialogue in your head is one which usually focuses on what you could have done differently, and how you are sorry for what you did.  Regret is almost always instructive.  You learn from it.  Now the real, true guilt is of a self-imposed behaviour.  You decide that you have done something that may have caused hurt or pain to someone else.  It is based on a measure of mind reading, and a mental guess on your part that an action, thought, or even a word caused harm to another.  The dialogue in your head usually goes something like this... ‘Why did I do that?’  ‘Why could not I do more?’  ‘If only, I was better, nicer, kinder, warmer, compassionate, caring....  You end up beating yourself up with an over obtrusive voice reproaching you over and over again in your mind for something you may not have actually done.  For some of you humans, it can actually become debilitating.  Understand the difference?”

“Yes, I do.  Hey, why don’t they teach you this stuff in school?”

Bald Eagle keeled over in convulsions of laughter, leaving Alexis staring at him in a somewhat stunned disbelief.  She thought it was an innocent enough question, yet, Bald Eagle seemed to find it extraordinarily humorous.  When he finally could contain his laughter, he exclaimed, “Because then they would empower you!  Once you understand your true connection, and the power of operating in alignment with Source Energy there is only empowerment.  No guilt. No fear.  There is no need for controls.  Think what that would do to all your government systems and other institutions in your world.”

“I never thought of it like that.  I guess we have been living for so long with this concept that we are all powerless.  We are all slaves to the systems that govern and control us.  The systems that promise to protect us if we give them our power.  Only we hand over our power, and there is no security.  Instead we find they lied to us, and used guilt and fear to control us.”  She looked somewhat shocked at what she had just said.  The picture of the world she was living within was becoming clearer.  Handing over her power was not giving her any more security and protection.  It was limiting her.

Fear - False Evidence Appearing Real

A Dark Corridor
credit: Stock Exchange 1413258
We live in a world that is continually selling us fear.  Our media is frequently citing statistics about how dangerous life is for us, and we have a corporate world that offers us a variety of contraptions and pills to save us from the boogieman of fear.  We have become so accustom to the onslaught of fear in our world that we can no longer distinguish the difference between true fear and manufactured fear. So what exactly is the difference?

True fear causes physical responses in our body. Our vision becomes more focused; lactic acid is pumped into the muscles.  A chemical called “cortisol” is released into the bloodstream, which prepares you to either fight or take flight.  It is natural mechanism that lets us know we are in danger.  It is an also an internal response system in which our intuition provides us with information to keep us safe.  For example, you are walking through the woods and a large black bear crosses your path.  You don’t think about anything you run for your safety.  Under true fear survival is your primary mode.

Manufactured fear has no basis in reality and is conjured based upon your perceptions about a situation or person.  For instance, the company is downsizing and you are fearful you may lose your job.  Manufactured fear is often accompanied with worry and doubt.  In the case of worry, we create negative scenarios about what might happen.   Whereas doubt is a 100% trust in a belief you don’t prefer.

The problem with continually operating from a mode of manufactured fear is our body become impervious to its natural responses.  We no longer listen to our intuition or gut feelings.  Since we are running on adrenalin our immune systems become compromised and we lose our ability to make rational decisions.  Since everything is vibration our fears actually become self fulfilling prophecies.

So how do you step off the fear vibration?

1.         Change your worry to wonder.    For example, if you are in the midst of a downsizing at work.  Instead of worrying about losing your job you might want to change your thinking to a positive outcome.  ‘I wonder what it would be like to two job offers on the same day.’

2.         Change your worry to ‘wouldn’t it be nice if’ statements.  ‘Wouldn’t it be nice if I found a better job that paid a higher salary?’  ‘Wouldn’t it be nice I won the lottery.”

3.         Get in touch with your intuition by playing games with it.  Your intuition can be in feelings, visions, auditory statements or bodily sensations.  How does your intuition work for you?

4.         Stop listening and reading the news.  Try it for one week and you may discover you are not missing anything.  You may also discover that your mood is substantially improved.

Next post I will look at how guilt operates in our life.
