The Dreamer is within You

Dreaming in Paradise
Watercolour by Beverly Blanchard
Man is all Imagination and God is Man and exists in us and we in him. The eternal body of Man is the Imagination and that is God Himself.”-- William Blake (1757-1827)

Throughout the course of history, there have been many prophets, seers and enlightened beings who have told us in various ways that the source of our power is within.  Yet, for some reason we have continually accepted stories which places Spirit/God outside ourselves.

When you came into this world, you knew who you were.  Unfortunately you didn’t have the experience and wisdom to articulate it.  As time went on you forgot and began accepting what the authorities in your life told you to believe.  It is these beliefs that have taken you away from your true infinite power.  Many of these beliefs have locked you into a pattern or state of being that is not in your highest interest.
As explained in the Law of One, there is no separation.  Spirit resides within you and is entombed within your skull.  Spirit dreams within you and it is waiting for you to awaken to the realization that you and God are one.  The dream is within you.  You do not need an intermediary to connect to the divine presence.  We are all spiritual beings manifested in human form operating from the same Source Energy.  We are each a fragment of Source Energy.

It was Shakespeare who said, “All the world’s a stage and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances…and each man in his time plays many parts.”  The man playing many parts is Spirit.  God is the dreamer, dreaming all parts into existence.  You are the author of the story.  Through your thoughts, perceptions, beliefs and feelings you are continually writing the screenplay.  Everyone who appears in your world comes to you through your invitation and is Spirit in human form playing that part you created.
Your life is really like a movie.  You are the author and main actor.  Spirit is the producer who looks after all phases of the movie. He makes it happen.  The nagging mind is the director who is continually telling you that you haven’t mastered the role.  The people and experiences coming into your life are the cast and crew.  All brought together because of the story you wrote.

If you are dissatisfied with the play, it is up to you to rewrite the script to make it conform to your idea of what the play should be. You cannot demand that the actors in your play change their role in your life.  You can however with Spirit’s assistance change your movie because all changes must take place in the mind of the author.  Everything is an outsourcing of your mind’s imagination and it is only through our consensus that we are dreaming in concert.
To change your script you have to know: What Story Are You Telling?  Spirit makes no judgment on whatever story you create.  We are in the world of duality or some say the land of the shadows.  Spirit just lines up the vibrations to match the story you are writing and telling.  All the good, the bad and the ugly experiences in your life, are matched perfectly to the dominant theme in your script.

Next post I will show you how to line up with Source to access your inherent power because Spirit is your imagination.  In the meantime, here is a short clip from philosopher Alan Watts.

The Law of Duality

Dancing Dolphins
Colored Pencil Sketch by Beverly Blanchard
One wanders to the left, another to the right. Both are equally in error, but, are seduced by different delusions. -- Horace

The Law of Duality basically states that everything is on a continuum and has a complementary opposite within the whole.  To use an old adage, there may be two sides of a coin but there is only one coin. In other words, things that appear as opposites are in fact only two extremes of the same thing. For instance, heat and cold may appear to be opposites at first glance, but in truth they are simply varying degrees of the same thing.

On the physical level the law of duality is easy to understand.  We can make comparisons with physical eye.  For instance, there is life and death, day and night, short and tall, masculine and feminine, near and far, and so forth.

What becomes problematic with the Law of Duality is when we start thinking that one aspect of the spectrum is better than the other aspect of spectrum. We get into labeling things as right or wrong.  Unlike mankind’s laws and morals, there is no right or wrong.  For example, in America they drive on the right side of the road.  In England they drive on the left side of the road.  Who is right and who is wrong?  Similarly there are no good or bad experiences.  Experiences are just experiences nothing more, nothing less.  What one learns from the experience is all that counts.  We have all had experiences that initially proved unpleasant but they became the greatest thing that happened to us.

Seeing things from only one perspective is a trap that keeps you locked into one aspect of a condition.   In every situation in life, under the Law of Duality you are simply seeking to balance the duality.  It is not about operating in either extreme.  It is about keeping to the middle path.  One does not however deny the moment.  To learn how live the moment all one needs to do is watch a child’s behaviour.  They get angry with someone and in the next moment they forget it.  They move on.  No stress.

Currently there are many who like to label the darkness as evil.  There is not a source of evil.  In this universe, there is only a source of love. There is however negative thought forms as every thought that has ever been thought is still in existence.  If you attune to these thought forms then you are attuning to that which is not Source Energy.

It is also important to understand that in order to be for something; you must be against something.  For and against still indicates you are operating on the same continuum.  It is the reason most of our War Against (drugs, cancer, poverty, homelessness, etc.) campaigns do not work.  What we are essentially doing is focusing our energies on that which we do not want and in doing so we neglect to define what it is we do want.  As Einstein said, ‘you cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it.’

When working with this law you may find that when attempting to balance the duality you will end up attracting the opposite of what you want.  For the moment you call in that which you are seeking to balance, everything in its opposite will come tumbling into your life.  If you are seeking more clarity, confusion will seem to reign supreme.  Nothing will seem to be clear anymore, and you will wonder why you ever started on this journey.  Yet, if you continue to work on changing your thinking and your belief patterns you will reach the balance point.  This is what the Law of Duality is all about.  It is about reaching a balance point.  It is not about operating at either extreme.  It is about remaining at your centre even when the hurricane of life is swirling around you.

In the next post I will discuss how to deal with contrast.

The Law of One

Connections
Watercolour by: Beverly Blanchard
A person experiences life as something separated from the rest - a kind of optical delusion of consciousness. Our task must be to free ourselves from this self-imposed prison, and through compassion, to find the reality of Oneness. – Albert Einstein

The Law of One simply states that we are all related and connected.  There is one source and everything is contained within the whole.  I am you and you are me.  We may be unique beings but we are not separated beings.  Everyone and everything is a spark of the original source and that source is love.

Many indigenous populations have demonstrated this type of understanding in their philosophy on life.  They believed everything and everyone was related, and everything was contained within the circle of Existence was their family.  When they prayed they gave thanks to the Great Spirit, Grandfather Sun, Grandmother Moon, Father Sky, Mother Earth, the winged, the four-legged, the four elements, the tree spirits, the water spirits and the two-legged.  Everyone and everything was seen as a part of the whole family of the Great Spirit, and everything and everyone was contained within the whole.

To understand this law on a personal level, one need only look at their own body.  To the eye the body’s boundary is the skin which keeps everything together.  Within the skin there are various organs such as the heart, lungs, liver, stomach, intestines, brain, and spleen.  There are various glands.  There are also muscles, connective tissues, energy centers, and a blood supply comprised of billions of cells.  Although each part of you has a specific function and looks to be separate, they are actually all connected and working within the whole of what is called you.

To further the analogy of one, look at the connection between humans and trees.  In order to survive, human beings breathe in oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide.  Trees on the other hand, breathe in carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen to survive.  Without the trees, where would man be?  Without man, where would the trees be?  Everything within and around you is connected.  Everything is energy spinning in form.

Here are some exercises for you to play with:

1.  See everything and everyone as Source Energy in action.  As you go about your day mentally visualize everyone and everything as the Source Energy spark.  Mentally say, ‘There is God/Source Energy doing….’ For instance, you see someone picking trash out of a container mentally say, ‘There is the spark of Source Energy picking trash out of a container.’  Someone is running for the bus, ‘There is the spark of Source Energy running for the bus.’  You see a bird flying in the air, ‘There is the spark of Source Energy flying in the air.’

2.  See everything and everyone as you in action.  As you go about your day mentally visualize everyone as you.  Mentally say, ‘There I go...’  You see someone picking trash out of a container mentally say, ‘There I go picking trash out of a container.’  Someone is running for the bus, ‘There I go running for the bus.’  You see a bird flying in the air, ‘There I go flying in the air.’

3.  Release yourself from the concept of ‘I’, ‘mine’ and ‘my’.  Once you use the words ‘I’, ‘mine’ and ‘my’, you make yourself separate from everyone and everything.  Try removing the words ‘I’, ‘mine’ and ‘my’ from your vocabulary for a week.  Instead of saying, ‘I am going to work.’ say, ‘We are going to work.’  Instead of saying, ‘I am going to my house.’ say, ‘We are going to our house.’

Here is a beautiful animation by Dreamworks Animation entitled First Flight.  Watch how a busy businessman finds a connection with a small bird.
